Management Team

Alan Scroope, ACMA
Founder & CEO

As FreeFlow CEO, Alan’s role is to lead the company on its mission to be the world’s leading alternative channels solution for consumer electronics companies. Alan’s prior positions in multi-national inventory and financial control at Netsource, GE-Kelliher, and 3Com honed the industry asset management skills that led to the founding of FreeFlow.  Alan knows firsthand the areas of exposure companies face when dealing with the secondary market: grey market and channel control and the operational challenges of vendor set-up, credit approval, logistics support and customer service. In 2001, Alan founded FreeFlow (originally named Web Component Trading, Ltd.), bringing his vision to reality, using the Internet to bring competition and transparency to asset management and providing operational and administrative services to streamline processes and reduce costs.

Alan is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has been recognized with numerous management awards including Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young Ireland in 2006.  Alan’s philanthropic activities extend to Africa where he built a 500-student school in Kenya in 2007 and he is a frequent contributor to entrepreneur development programs in colleges and universities throughout Ireland.

Bernie Cadogan, FCA
CFO

A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Bernie Cadogan has broad experience in multi-national corporate environments. As plant financial controller for 3Com Ireland she was responsible for all aspects of supply chain finance. Prior to joining 3Com she worked in London and New York in the transport leasing services industry gaining in-depth exposure to international finance.

Bernie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UCC and an MBA from Trinity College Dublin.

John Kenny
President

John Kenny has over 32 years of operations experience in high tech and consumer products industries and has been an advisor to FreeFlow since its inception. Prior to joining FreeFlow, John held global executive-level supply chain positions with 3Com Corporation, Hewlett-Packard and Apollo Computer.  He started his career in logistics, distribution and customer service with Joseph E Seagram and Sons and Standard Brands, Inc.

John has been an active Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) member and conference speaker for over 30 years. He is Chair of the External Advisory Board of the Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management, University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Business. John is a member of the University of Wisconsin Foundation, Bascom Hill Society and an advisory board member of Rapid Results, Inc.

John earned a BBA with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Business where he also received his MBA.
